This species was posted on 8 April 2004 at these websites as Pseudobornella orientalis Baba, 1932, Pola & Gosliner (2010) synonymized the genus Pseudobornella Baba, 1932 with the genus Dendronotus Alder & Hancock, 1845. I noticed this change because of the recent discovery of this species at California, USA! Reference: Pola M. & Gosliner T.M. (2010) The first molecular phylogeny of cladobranchian opisthobranchs (Mollusca, Gastropoda, Nudibranchia). Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution 56: 931-941. More information on Dendronotus orientalis as Pseudobornella orientalis are on Bill Rudman's Sea-Slug Forum! How to cite: Köhler, E. (2019), published 7 January 2019, Dendronotus orientalis (Baba, 1932) available from https://www.Philippine-Sea-Slugs.com/Nudibranchia/Cladobranchia/Dendronotus_orientalis.htm |
