Pinufius rebus Er. Marcus & Ev. Marcus, 1960

Pinufius rebus is flattened, broadly ovate with a rounded oral veil. The general
body colour is translucent, with the mottled colour of the digestive gland ducts.
As the digestive gland contains particles of the food and the zooxanthellae, which
were obtained from the food Pinufius rebus matches the colour of the Porites colony
on which it is feeding.
Around the dorsal edge is an irregular double row of cerata - or cerata-like processes.
There is a medial ridge and two or three transverse ridges, with a few cerata scattered on.
Pinufius rebus is always found on colonies of the coral Porites.
