Platydoris scabra (Cuvier, 1804) [Doris]

Platydoris scabra is large (10 cm and more) and flat with a wide mantle and relatively narrow body. The rhinophore pockets are slightly raised, and edge of the gill pocket is raised. The dorsum has a translucent white background colour but it is covered by many light greyish brown patches (made by aggregations of minute brown spots). The gills and rhinophores also have mottled brown markings. Some specimens have a yellow margin of mantle, foot, rhinophore pockets and gill pockets.
There is a picture of a whole specimen from the Philippines at Mike Miller's Slug Site, but no data are given.
Pretty similar are:
Platydoris formosa which differs by red patches on the mantle, by its bright red rhinophores, and by distinct black lines outlining the gills
Platydoris cinerobranchiata which differs by red patches on the mantle, by uniformly bluish-grey gills and by brownish-green rhinophores.
