Pretty similar species of Trapania are: Trapania japonica, which differs by yellow/orange lateral processes, Trapania sp. 05, which differs by yellow/orange lateral processes, and by brown/black tipped white rhinophores, Trapania sp. 08, which lacks the rounded brown spots and differs by yellow/orange outer halfs of the extra-branchial and extra-rhinophoral processes.
