Chromodoris elisabethina is characterized by its uniform blue area of the mantle, by a broad orange band at the mantle margin, and by the black median line. There is a diffuse whitish band at the inner margin of the orange band, followed by a black band which encircles the uniform blue area. The gills and rhinophores are orange. The specimens of the pictures #3 and #4 are strange colour variants with additional black longitudinal lines.
