species characterised by black longitudinal lines, bluish backgrounds and orange borders. Chromodoris strigata can be distinguished by a characteristic pattern of dark translucent patches on the dorsum. They are arranged in a regular pattern, a pair behind the rhinophores, one in the centre of the dorsum and a pair just anterior to the gills.
Chromodoris strigata differs from Chromodoris cf. strigata by having no orange longitudinal lines.
